Temptation stories follow the classical story telling pattern of the desire for something corrupting the person who experiences desire. In the full classic pattern of this story type, the person gets the object of their desire, and it utterly fails to live up to its description or appearance. However, the person is stuck with it.
Sometimes the story energy is more about what a misguided person will do in the process to try and get whatever it is that they desire so much.
